Echo Braveheart Guys Only Retreat
February 24th-26th, 2012
For high schoolers only! We live in such a sexually charged world. Sex has become a commodity used to shape our values and guide our spending, sometimes with disastrous results. Sifting through the messages our culture perpetuates about sex is tough for teens, especially when they decide to do life according to the way of Jesus.
- WHAT: Braveheart is the name we are giving to a guys only overnight retreat where we take our high schoolers away to talk about sexuality and God’s design for the heart of a man. The guy Echo leaders will give talks on true strength, honor, valor, and responsibility. Plan on some solid guy time: eating a lot of food, watching some movies, snow tubing, and just hanging out and having fun.
- WHEN: We will leave the church office on Friday, February 24th at 6pm and we will return to Freedom High School on Sunday, February 26th by 1pm.
- WHERE: Camp Joy El – Greencastle, PA. You can check them out on the web here.
- WHAT TO BRING: Your bible, sleeping bag and pillow, bath towel, clothes to be active in outdoors, a snack or drinks to share, toiletries, money for dinner on the road Friday night, and whatever you would bring to have fun with the guys.
- COST: $140 per person covers everything.
Parents Please Note: These weekends will include honest and open discussions about God’s plan for sexuality. If you would like to talk to a youth leader about what will be covered and how we address specific issues, please call the church office.
