Echo Pureheart Girls Only Retreat

March 2nd-4th, 2012

For high schoolers only! We live in such a sexually charged world. Sex has become a commodity used to shape our values and guide our spending, sometimes with disastrous results. Sifting through the messages our culture perpetuates about sex is a tough task for teens, especially when they decide to do life according to the way of Jesus.

  • WHAT: Pureheart is the name we are giving to a girls only overnight retreat where we take our high schoolers away to talk about sexuality and God’s design for the heart of a woman. The female Echo leaders will give talks on true beauty, intimacy, purity, and responsibility. Plan on some quality “girl time” as we watch chick flicks, eat good food, and grow closer together and to God.

  • WHEN: We will leave the church office on Friday, March 2nd at 6pm and we will return to Freedom High School on Sunday March 4th by 1pm.
  • WHERE: The ladies have rented a posh 6200 sq ft. lake house on Lake Anna for the weekend. The house has a game room, theater, and plenty of space to relax. Check out pictures here.=
  • WHAT TO BRING: Your bible, bedding and pillow, bath towel, a snack or drinks to share, toiletries, money for dinner on the road Friday night, and whatever you would bring to have fun with the gals.
  • COST: $140 per person covers everything.

Parents Please Note: These weekends will include honest and open discussions about God’s plan for sexuality. If you would like to talk to a youth leader about what will be covered and how we address specific issues, please call the church office.
